Suggestion: Wallet / Driver's License / Expiration Date

1. When entering the expiration date for my driver's license, the display format MM/YYYY (but the date picker seems to allow the selection of a day). I'd like to suggest the display give the opinion for MM/DD/YYYY. (This is also the format of my driver's license expiration date.)
2. It would be neat if somehow I could conveniently (quickly) enter the expiration date into my iCal as a reminder. This feature could apply to other expiration dates such as passport, insurance, credit cards, etc.

Hey mountainbiker,
We are looking at custom templates in a future release which would be a great way to accommodate your first suggestion, but I think that your second suggestion is likely beyond the scope of what we have intended for 1Password. It has come up a number of times before with no present plans to include such functionality. However, we never say “never!” <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0 -

Cool. Thanks for the reply.Flag 0 -
+1 on fixing the Driver's License record type to accommodate DATE value for expiration date. Unlike credit cards, all American driver's licenses that I know expire on a specific day, not just at the end of the month like credit cards. Please allow entry of a day value for these expiration dates. The passport record type already allows a specific expiration day to be entered, so I wouldn't think it would be difficult to add for driver's licences.Flag 0

Hiya, drew212; welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
You make a good point. We may be able to make this happen at some point. We will have to take a closer look at these kinds of things once things have settled down around here. Right now we are pretty busy getting ready for Lion! Thanks for letting us know you would find this useful. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0
