invisible file (that is indeed visible) in Dropbox

<div class="IPBDescription">not part of the 1P package</div>I just noticed that at the root level of my Dropbox I have a file named .ws.agile.1Password.settings (starts with a dot, hence my calling it invisible - but it's there to be seen). I see it when using Dropbox iPhone app and looking at the directory on my Dropbox via webpage. The actual 1Password.agilekeychain is kept in another directory.

I can't honestly swear the file has just appeared or been there since the beginning.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

tim

    Hi Tim,

This is normal to see. On Mac, it is set to be hidden, whereas the Dropbox.com site doesn’t hide the hidden files by default.

This is our hidden pointer file (or beacon) where we tell 1Password touch on your iOS devices how to find the 1Password data file in your Dropbox folder. Without this file, we would have to require our users to put it in a specific folder. If you were to remove this file, 1Password touch will not be able to find your data file and it will not be able to sync at all.

I hope this helps, if you have any questions, let us know.
