Swedbank authentication

Hello,

Currently I'm using 1Password to store passwords for more than 300 sites, and it works great. It was one of my best investments <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Except for one major site. There is a not so small bank in Northern Europe - Swedbank, and they provide online banking services with login form page: https://ib.swedbank.lt/private/d2d/start

Unfortunately, 1Password fills the wrong form (it fills the search form instead). Could you please provide any recommendations how can I use the software on that site?

Hi Zygimantas, welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately, that site is using random values for the field names, it does appear to have the fixed "id" variables but 1Password doesn't support that at the moment. To explain this a bit more, right now the input field for username is named "SWEDVYILOTSWZIKBBGU2XRZVG5VMNJWTQ74UC", when you refresh, it'll change to "SWEDBINLA5L5NXKUGZM6NX5LE2LX6EYNVRQSB", or something random. 1Password stores the field name and when you refresh the page, it doesn't find that specific field name and thus, it can't fill it in.

We are continuously improving our auto-fill engine and we hope we'll be able to support sites like Swedbank but I do not have a timeframe on this.

Updated: As Khad mention in the next post, the site does work in Chrome, but you need to remove any random names in the all fields area. You should then enter your details in the username/password fields. You do not have to do this in the All fields area. You can enter it in the top area.

    It should look like this.

    Hey Zygimantas,

The site does work well in Chrome which is making use of our very latest form filling code, so we do have a "fix," but I do not currently have a time frame for when it will be ported to our Safari/Firefox extensions. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, though. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />

You could also give the 1Password extension in Google Chrome a try if you were interested in an immediate solution. I'd love to know how it goes if you do.
  • Thank you guys for your immediate replies. Khad, you are right. I have installed Chrome and the extension works like a charm. I hope you will find some time to port it to Firefox (at least to FF4).

    This is certainly on our radar! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

I am glad it is working well in Chrome for you.
