1PW as ToDo App

You guys absolutely have the BEST syncing solution I have ever seen with Dropbox and 1PW. Other things sync with Dropbox but nothing I have seen is as seemless as it is with my 1PW Desktop and Syncing on my phone. I also think you do a pretty good job on UI.



I am petitioning for you to consider adding a ToDo list/Project management feature to 1PW. 1PW contains a lot of the data I have to use for todos anyway. Logins, credit card info for purchases etc. It would be great to have all this data and my ToDos all in one place. I currently use Things and Appigo ToDo, Appigo ToDo is far superior to Things but they do not have a native mac App. I could do away with both of these 1PW were my todo manager. Just something to think about.

Well, thank you so much for the compliments about the syncing solution we have in 1Password, we're very happy with how Dropbox syncing has turned out and we're even happier that so many users find it so useful.



I can certainly see how having everything in one place, including your to-do list, would be helpful, but I honestly don't see this as something we'd add to 1Password in much the same way that we wouldn't add an address book or mail client.



1Password is really designed to store your personal information securely, so as you've mentioned things like your web logins, credit cards, passport details etc. In general, for most people, your to-do list doesn't need to be encrypted, and while yes syncing is vital, there are lots of other solutions out there such as OmniFocus by the Omni Group who are often praised for their syncing solution.



I'm not dismissing your idea out of hand, but at the same time I think we need to be realistic and focus the development of 1Password on it's primary function of storing and filling your secure information.



Thanks for the post and the suggestion though, we really do enjoy hearing from our users about what they want to see in 1Password.
