Hi,

I'm trying to add a new bank account. I've previously added accounts with a field called "Bank Branch Sort Number", but this field doesn't seem to exist any more.. what's happened to it?

Thanks

Neil

    Hi Neil,

I’ll ask our UK person but this sounds like it was in the UK localized version of the Bank account template. Right now, what you can do is add it in the “IBAN Number” field, the Sort number is used as part of the IBAN number that’s assigned to your bank. So, it can be placed there for now.

I’ll get back to you on the UK localized template, or somebody else will.

Thanks for letting us know about this.

    Hi Neil,

We don’t have the UK localized templates anymore in 1Password 3. It used to be there in 1Password 2 and in early betas of 1Password for Windows but we pulled it out because we had some sync issues with it.

We are looking into adding the ability to customize your own templates in a future update of 1Password, which will allow you to set it to be UK *style* with Bank Branch Sort Code field but I do not have a timeframe on when it’ll occur.

For now, you can use the “IBAN Number” field. I’m sorry that we do not have a better solution at the moment than this.
  • As a US-living Brit with UK bank accounts, I'd welcome that, please <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />.

Okay, thanks for the reply Mike. Yes, international templates is obviously desirable for non-US users <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

In the meantime, realised I can duplicate one of my old accounts that has the Sort Code field to create my new account.

    Cheers

    Hi Neil,

On Mike's behalf, you're very welcome! I'm 'The UK person' Mike asked about this, and I have to agree I can't wait for customisable templates, and rest assured I spent a fair bit of time reminding our developers of that on our recent company trip to the Dominican Republic <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Duplicating an existing item will indeed work, I don't know if you use our iOS applications but if you do, do you see all the fields showing correctly for your UK bank account template?

    Hi Stu,

Yes on the iPhone app for my existing UK accounts the fields show correctly.
