Android 3 issue

Hi all, First, let me say that I started using 1Password a few weeks ago after having used KeePassX, and there's no comparison. 1Password is so smooth and easy to use with its integration to Firefox that I'm no longer afraid to use different long crazy passwords on each site.

OK, now that that's out of the way... <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I've just picked up a Motorola Xoom tablet, which has Android 3, and I loaded 1Password on it. I've got the keychain on Dropbox, and successfully synced onto the Xoom. The first problem was that after the keychain sync, 1Password apparently tried to play a sound. A sound widget showed up, it kind of looked like a volume control, but it didn't work and it stayed modal, so I couldn't do anything, not even exit the app. I got around it by turning off the screen and then turning it on again (not by rebooting) -- took all of a few seconds. I felt kind of silly following Roy's advice from The IT Crowd, but it worked. This could be an Android 3 thing, or maybe an incompatibility.

OK, next, I pulled up BoingBoing, and wanted to log in. So I went to the login page, switched to 1Password, logged in, went to Logins > Boingboing, and hit the Autologin button. I'm attaching a pic of what I got. The "Go Back" button didn't work, although the "back" button at the lower left did work. Needless to say, I couldn't autologin.

Do you have any ideas? If you don't have an Android 3 device to test on, I can run any debug app you send me...

Thanks,

--Rob

    Hi Rob,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

I do anticipate the issues with Android OS 3.0. We here in the office don't even have a Android 3 device, therefore cannot test the application on OS 3.

I know there is a huge amount of changes in OS 3.0, therefore, it is not a surprise that some things don't work.

I think that the totally different codebase for 1Password for Android will probably be required to support OS 3.

In the next while we will get a new OS 3.0 device and do thorough testing on it to see what can be done in order to support the new OS.

Please stay tuned for the application updates.

    Best regards,
