1Password & Safari

sued, welcome to the forum!
1Password for Windows includes extensions for the 32-bit Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome browsers.
Support for Safari is on our "short list" of possible enhancements, but there's no information about when it might become available.

Strange?
1Password started on the Mac, I've bought, used it with Safari and loved it.
Safari is great as windows browser.

Don't make me use IE8....(Oh the Humanity....)Flag 0 -
I am a long time user of 1Password for Mac, using it on multiple machines along with Dropbox and my iPhone. When recommending to a friend who uses Windows and Safari, I was VERY surprised to see that Safari for Windows is not supported. How does that make sense?
Yes, Firefox has a large install base, and yes, for people that don't know any better IE8 is often the default choice, but it seems to me that Safari, being in my opinion superior to both in many ways, should certainly be supported. I cannot recommend to my friend that it makes sense to switch browsers (and if I did they wouldn't anyway), so your product is of no help, even though it could be.
Please take this as another vote, 2 actually, to move the Safari integration for Windows a few notched up on the short list. I have a feeling you are losing out on a fair amount of business, as not many people would actually take the time to create an account on the forums to express their opinion. And, I also have a feeling that once Safari for Windows is available, the amount of additional business would more than make up for any development costs...
Thanks for the good work.Flag 0 -

Welcome to the forum, spa104.
All the sites I've found list Safari at about 6 to 6.5 percent of the Windows browser market. They also show that, by providing extensions for the top three, we're making 1Password available to 85 to 90 percent of Windows users, and that's not bad for a small but agile team like ours.
We know everyone loves his or her favorite browser. Given our druthers, we'd support them all; but that's just not possible. We're certainly not ruling out extensions for Safari and other browsers, but there's no information about when it might become available.
