1Password trial is really fully functional?

<div class="IPBDescription">Trial restrictions are not being advertised.</div>Hi there,

I've bought 1Password for iPhone and now I am trying to evaluate Mac & PC version. What was my surprise when the application told me that in trial version I cannot add more than 20 items. Mayby I am little bit dumb, but on your website there is written that

"The application will remain fully functional for the first 30 days after you install it. ..."

And this behaviour does not look like it is fully functional. So please add some information about trial restrictions on your site to be fair to your potentional customers.

Concerning that, I've little question: is it possible to get some short term licence key that would make it really-completely-fully functional?

Thanks in advance.

Daniel.

On Windows, our trial version is not time-bombed, but it does indeed not allow you to create more than 20 items.

    Hi Daniel,

I'm sorry for any confusion here, the [1Password for Mac] trial is meant to be fully unlimited, however we have a bug in our current trial code that means that if you import entries from the iOS versions of 1Password that are older than 30-days 1Password for Mac will wrongly 'end' the trial and limit you to 20 items. We're hoping to fix this with a future update, but for now please drop us a note at support@agilewebsolutions.com and we'll be happy to provide you with a 30-day license for 1Password for Mac so you can take full advantage of the trial period.

    Hope that helps,

  • I'm about to try importing my eWallet (export to txt file) into trial version of 1Password for Windows. Will I also run into 20 items limitation? If so, I can't really test out the 1Password. If it works great, then I can invest into Windows and iOS version to replace my existing eWallet (since I like your concept of using DropBox)

    JKLMN, welcome to the forum!

Unlike the 1Password for Mac demo mode behavior described by Stu above, the 1Password for Windows demo mode behavior is to limit you to 20 items, right from the start.
