Bought the version 2.5 on iphone

Hi !



So i bought the version 2.5 last year, on april. By this time, i have reinstall my computer, reinstall my iphone + updated it. In the process i forgot to backup my iphone and by doing that i lost my original 2.5 version! So now i have two problem :

1) i cannot reinstall it, because iTunes wants me to download the latest v3.5.7 version

2) My 1Password desktop (on macOS) has updated itself to 3.5.7 for free in the process.



So how i can put back the 1Password app on the IPhone ? I now need to export my data on it since i've used the Desktop apps a lot since then...



Should i open a case instead of asking it here ?

Is there a reason you do not want to use 1Password 3.5.7 on your iPhone?

This is a good thing. You want to make sure you are always running the latest version for security and stability.

If you are still using the same iTunes account that you used to purchase the app originally, you will be able to re-download the current version for free. Unfortunately, it won't look like it's free until you choose to "buy" it and enter your password. You don't have to take our word for it though. Here is Apple's official support document:

Another thing you can do to make sure that you won't have to pay for the app again is to try adding it to your Wish List in iTunes. If you already own the app, iTunes will tell you, "You have already purchased this item" and that you cannot add it to your Wish List.

Thanks a lot for the "Add to wish list" trick ! I did the trick for me, so i bought it again, but it tell me at the end that it was free upgrade !

If you are not already using it, you might consider [url="http://help.agile.ws/1Password3/cloud_syncing_with_dropbox.html"]Dropbox syncing[/url] to keep everything up to date between your iPhone and your Mac.

I can't wait for this to be rolled out across all platforms.

That link didn't work for me. Is this something new in 4.3? I get the "Installed" placeholder when the app is already present on my iPhone or iPad, but it's the regular $X.XX/"Buy Now" button if I have previously purchased it but it isn't currently installed.

I'm going to steal some of Khad's thunder here, I tweeted that screenshot originally but I foolishly left in my Apple ID, so deleted the Tweet, hence the broken link. Thanks Khad for posting the 'clipped' image here.



I'm really hoping this comes to iTunes and the iPhone too, we get so many requests for how to download 1Password again to another iOS device if you've already bought it. I'm glad to see Apple are looking into improving this for their customers.



iTunes 10.2 does indeed feel snappier to me, and Home Sharing to my iPad is incredibly cool, oh yeah I'm running the iOS 4.3 GM right now, but shhhh I didn't tell you that <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
