Keeps open vaults open after a restart do not work?

Thanks Guido and gent.
I just tested both logging out and back in again, and rebooting. In both cases Knox 2.0.1 on 10.6.3 mounted up my Knox vault perfectly. Do either of you have the "Keep Knox running if the computer is restarted" box *unchecked*? By the way, both of these related checkboxes refer to restarting your computer but actually they have to do with logging into this specific OS X account. If you have two or more accounts that need access to the same vault you'll need to be sure that they all can read or read/write (as appropriate) the Knox vault file and have some or all of these same Knox settings.Flag 0 -
- keep Knox running if the computer is restarted is checked
- Keep open vaults open after a restart is checked
and Knox is starting after the Mac is rebooted, but the vaults are not mounted.
I downloaded Knox at 26.5.2010 .. I checked out te features and 30 min later i got my Key (this day was a 50% offer).
Maybe, I have still a Trial-Version-preferences-file on my system, and maybe auto-open-vaults after restart is not available with a trial version?
maybe i have to delete my pref-file (no idea where to find this file) to get the feature?
maybe maybe .. hope you know more than me .)
Knox Preferences - window show my name and 1-user License, but maybe the preferences-file is corrupt/broken/or whatever ?Flag 0 -
Gent,
If you want to try and delete the preference file its located in ~/Library/Preferences/
~ is in reference to you user folder.
you looking for the entry "com.knoxformac.knox.plist"
Double and triple check that this is the only preference you delete. Deleting other preferences could have an adverse effect on your system, and or other apps on you mac.Flag 0 -
I deleted the preference-file ~/Library/Preferences/com.knoxformac.knox.plist
after restart i had to enter my serial again and drag-drop all vaults into the vault-list of Knox Preferences-window and finaly checking the two options (keep Knox running and open vaults after restart)...
but the vaults are not open after restart.
for what I can see... what is different on my setup?
-> I dont store the vaults into this default-Knox-folder .. my vaults are living at ~/Documents/
-> my vaults use 256-bit-encryption inst. the default 128-bit-encryption-option
any more ideas?
btw... I put a applescript on my startup-items to mount a set of vaults if the user(me) logged inFlag 0 -
Gent
I dont see any problems with your previous post my vaults are not in the knox folder (I deleted it way back when)
I have almost all of my vaults at 128, the one with my previous biz records is 256 so ..... ????
As for the script I personally don't see a problem its just a list of things to do in your case, but one of the guys will need to comment directly on this.Flag 0 -

Is Knox running after your reboot/login, or do you have to start it each time?
There's no problem with having a script to do what you're doing but Knox should be able to take care of the mount tasks for you... if it starts properly.Flag 0 -
nox is running after reboot,... the icon is present on menu and if i open the menu (it 'll need 1 second to open the menu after my click .. longer than other menus like dropbox or linkinus or saldomat) it lists all vaults and i can quit Knox if i need.Flag 0

The Knox menu bar is a little more involved, since when you click it there are checks made to see what is mounted. The file system calls to do this seem to take a little while.Flag 0
