German Localization

Hi,



I really would like to have a german version of 1Password for Windows for my girlfriend who isn't fluent in English.



Any plans on when this would be available?

We're certainly open to the idea of providing 1Password for Windows in languages other than English, however we don't yet have any timeframes for exactly when this will be as we'd need to ensure that any translation we do is of the highest quality.

Hello palladion and member!



I know that German localization is something that we are working on, but at the moment we are focusing a lot of resources on Lion, Windows, Safari 5.1 and other browser integration and our mobile platforms. We have received several requests for the localization, and it is on our radar. At the moment, that is all I know.



Regarding add-ons, I am not aware of any practical methods for implementing the add-on type solution. However, I've passed along your suggestion our developers for more analysis.



I'm sorry that I don't have a better answers for you at this time, but please continue to check back for updates.

Thanks for the offer, palladion! We are looking into making this possible in a future version, but we do not currently have the necessary systems in place to allow this. I don't have anything else to report at this time. I promise that we will announce any additional Windows localization on our blog, though, so you can subscribe to it in your RSS reader to be notified right away. I can't make any promises, but this is on our radar.
