Alright, now that that's out of the way...

I apologise if this has been suggested before, but is it at all possible for 1Password for iPhone to sync with an agilekeychain that's already in a Dropbox account? Like have a place under settings to input a username & password for a Dropbox account and have it access the agilekeychain on Dropbox directly so that everything stays in sync... forgoing the Wi-Fi sync? You could even add an option to only allow for Dropbox syncs while connected to Wi-Fi (so as not to use precious mobile data allotments).

The combination of 1Password with Dropbox is incredible and makes life so easy.

If you could add this feature to everything else you've already done an amazing job on with this upgrade, that'd be great.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. This sort of thing isn't possible right now because the mobile application synchs directly with the Mac application; I'm not sure how much, if at all, it interacts with the .agilekeychain. If it's possible, this would definitely be cool to look into in the future.

This would be the killer feature!

Ever since I started using 1Password with Dropbox, I've wanted this same sync capability on the iPhone.

This should be a huge priority on the development front, IMHO:-D

Right now, Dropbox does not have an API that developers can leverage to gain access to data for synching like this. If this is important to you, please vote for Dropbox to develop an API.

I have other apps on my Mac and iPhone (like OmniFocus) that sync between desktop and phone using webdav. I won't purchase the iPad version until it can do that. Is there a timeframe for this?

    Thanks,

    Ken

Welcome to the forums, Ken! I'm sorry, we don't have a timeframe to give you. "We're working on it" is the best we can do right now.

Dropbox appears to have officially released the API for developers: http://developers.dropbox.com

This feature should now be possible I imagine.

Just activated on the Mac the Dropbox Sync Option. Cool!!!

How can I link now the iPhone 1Password App to that?

    Thanks for the good work!

It currently experimental there hasn't even been a touch beta to try it out and iron out the bugs so stay tuned for announcements. But as always no timeframes are given or implied.

Where is Agile in the process of making the iphone sync-able through dropbox?

    Thanks,

    Hi Ryan,

Our developers are still working hard on this, but unfortunately a change to the Dropbox API has put up a fairly large stumbling block for us. The good news is that the Dropbox team have been responsive and we're working together to try and get this fixed as soon as possible.

With any new sync solution we don't want to make it available until we know it works reliably and securely, especially when your 1Password data is involved.

Keep an eye on http://blog.agile.ws, we'll be making an announcement when we know more.

    All the best,
