Keyboard shortcuts

I would love to see 1Password support full keyboard navigation and shortcuts for essential actions like copying username/password from the selected entry, generating a secure password, etc. As of 3.5.9, most features aren't easily accessible without mousing.

    Welcome to the forums, beznogim!

Thanks for the feedback. We'll look at some additional keyboard shortcuts in the future, but right now I already don't use the mouse/trackpad in 1Password myself. For example, I press ⇧⌘L to switch to the Logins vault (Go > Logins). Then I type the first couple letters of the Login and/or use the arrow keys to select it. ⌘E will edit the item where I can use Tab to go to whichever field I want to copy and press ⌘C to copy it.

Of course, searching with ⌘F is even easier, and the search field automatically has the focus when you first unlock 1Password, so you don't even need to press ⌘F at that point. Just start typing. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />

You can also create a keyboard shortcut for any item in 1Password's menu (as you can for any menu item in Mac OS X).

We'll keep this in mind for the future, but I hope that helps in the mean time. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Cheers!

Thanks. But dedicated menu items and/or shortcuts could save users a lot of time:)

By the way, when I edit a field and press Enter, input focus is lost and Tab stops working until I select some other field with a mouse. Looks like a bug.

On Khad's behalf, you're welcome. I do see your point, there are a lot of things that could be made easier via keyboard shortcuts, but I can't promise if and when we could implement more than we already have.

I've just tested this and I can confirm what you're seeing, I'm not sure if this is a bug or intended behaviour, but I'll mention this to our developers to see if it's something we can change.

    Thanks for your feedback.
