HTC ThunderBolt

<div class="IPBDescription">Tried to install the new beta on HTC ThunderBolt</div>I found, and tried to install 1Password for Android on my new HTC ThunderBolt. I already have Dropbox on my Bolt and have used 1Password for Mac & Windows for a long time. After install, I tried to run. 1Password asked for my DropBox login, but locked up before I had an opportunity to input. I had to soft reset the phone. I tried to start again, but all I get is a blank black screen and a locked phone, which I have to reset. What's up?

  • I had the same problem. Totally locked up my phone. Whats up Agile?
  • Got it working by reading this post on the Incredible. http://forum.agile.ws/index.php?/topic/4001-will-not-install-on-htc-incredible/
  • Thanks for letting us know, Zipdugan, hopefully that guide will be of help to MD_Kearns as well.

Thanks Zipdugan, unmounting the SD card solved the install problem and I got 1Password to sync with my DropBox and open.

    Hi MD_Kearns,

I am glad that your problem is resolved.

Now if you wish, try to goto Menu->Preferences->Manager Applications, select 1Password for Android and click "Move to SD card" button.

It will free couple of MBs on your phone's internal storage and will not affect performance.

Of course, moving to SD card works only for Android OS > 2.2.0.

    Regards,

    Gene

I have a slightly different issue:

I didn't have any problem installing the app. However, every time I try to log in using my Dropbox account, application freezes after entering fairly long (15 characters) domain name (after @ but before .com). I tried to use my shorter e-mail @gmail.com and I did not have any problem typing it in. I did not sign in all the way because I don't have Dropbox associated with my gmail.com account.

It seems to me that there might be some string length limit in username field?

    Thanks!

I have an update: the app does not freeze, it just takes loooong time to process input, after period (.) is entered after long domain name. (I went back to my phone after posting my previous message and found that it advanced a couple of characters forward). In the meantime, however, Android notified me that the app is not responding and I sent an error report to Google, and also chose to wait and that's when it finally finished processing input. Perhaps, code goes into recursion trying to validate regex?

    Hi bnurzhanov,

Thank you for reporting the issue.

The regular expression used for the domain name validation turned out to be too complex for the device CPU and simply crashed some phones when a username (email) was too long or too complex.

The issue will be fixed in the next 1Password for Android release coming in the next couple of days, please stay tuned for the updates.
