Master Password

I have changed the master password on my Mac, but whenever I try to reveal a password on my iPod touch it will not accept the new master password, but only the old one. I'm syncing with Dropbox and everything else seems to sync correctly. ie, if I change other passwords on my mac, the iPod touch updates. Just not with the master password.



Any ideas?

Hi mahoosive,



Agile designed each application to work as a stand alone. So, while the desktop and mobile apps sync with one another, each master password can be different. You will have to change the password on your phone to the new password as well. That can be accomplished in 1Password mobile through the settings. See the below screen captures for the location.

Fooligan is correct, mahoosive. Your Master Password does not have to be the same between 1Password for Mac/Windows and your 1Password iOS app(s). Many users like to have a less-complicated one for 1Password iOS apps because of the interaction using the much smaller virtual keyboard. Because they do not have to be the same, they are never synced from one device/platform to another.
