Syncing Issues iPad

Got 1Password for my iPad but 1Password on desktop refuses to sync to it. I am running version 2.12.1 on osx and it sync fine to my iPhone. With the ipad however it allows me to select it but after I enter the authentication coded it says it is 'Syncing with iPad' but it never finishes. I even tried it overnight (approx 10hrs) but no joy. Done the obvious like restarting both devices but can anyone help me resolve this problem? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing problems syncing your iPad with 1Password 2.12.1. In order to use the 'Sync Existing' feature on the iPad version of 1Password you need to be running the latest version of 1Password 3, which is a paid upgrade from 1Password 2. If you have your 1Password 2 license key you can purchase an upgrade for just $24.95 from [url]https://agilewebsolutions.com/store[/url].
If you can't upgrade to 1Password 3, for whatever reason, there is a workaround to get your iPad syncing. Rather than choosing the 'Sync Existing' option you need to create a new database on the iPad and then go to Settings > Sync and setup the sync from there.
With 1Password 3 long out of Beta we've had to make the decision to no longer developer 1Password 2, and as such new features like this will only be available in 1Password 3.
