Welcome to the forums, gmacerola. I'm sorry that you're having this problem.

Does this happen when you use your mouse to click on the 1P button and select the login, when you use the ⌘\ keyboard shortcut, or both?

    Please let me know. Thanks!
  • I have not tried the keyboard shortcut. Right now it happens when I click it. That keyboard shortcut is assigned to something else at the moment.

It sounds like Firefox is caching some data from a previous version. You can fix this by completely uninstalling the Firefox extension and reinstalling it:

    1. Make sure Firefox is not running.

    2. Launch 1Password from your /Applications folder

    3. Click 1Password > Preferences > Browsers

    4. Uncheck the box next to all versions of Firefox

    5. Launch Firefox and click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Make sure that 1Password is *not* listed.

    6. Step #5 is the most important step so I'll repeat it again here <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Launch Firefox and make sure 1Password is not there.

    7. If 1Password is appearing in the Extensions window, click the Uninstall button on the 1Password extension and quit Firefox.

    8. Return to your 1Password window and check the box next to Firefox. There are two versions: 3 and 4. Pick the one that you have installed.

    9. Restart Firefox and click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Make sure that 1Password is listed.

After following these steps, the Firefox extension will have forgotten everything about previous versions and should work correctly.

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks!

Fill Login doesn't work for me. Rmb: no response. Cmd \: beep.

    Mac OS X ver. 10.6.6; 1PasswordVersion 3.6.0.BETA-12 (build 31005) and Firefox ver. 4.

Ooops. Didn't see Khad's post from earlier today

    Welcome to the forums, folks!

Have things improved for you, joetully, after following my instructions above?

Jim38, your post came through essentially blank. Are you having trouble with the Firefox 4 extension as well? Please try my instructions above and let me know how it turns out! If you are having another problem, you can start a new topic where I can assist you more personally. If your post was an accident, just ignore me and have a wonderful day! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />

    Thanks!
  • Sorry about that blank post. It was the first time I tried to use this forum and I guess I screwed up. Hope I'm doing it right this time.

I tried your suggestions but they didn't help the problem. The trouble began when I upgraded to 1Password 3 for use with Snow Leopard.

As long as the Login and Password are on the same page it works fine, but if the Login is a separate entry, it just beeps. I have tried it using Firefox 4 and Safari 5, and have the problem with both browsers.

Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.

    Jim, thanks for following up.

Please take a look at our "How to create multi-page Logins" guide. The short version is that you will need to create a login item for each page of the process (i.e., "MyBank - Username" and "MyBank - Password").

If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

We are always here to help!
  • Thanks for the help Khad. I was able to solve my problem by using multi-page logins as you suggested.

I did it a little different than the instructions though (I think). I filled in the login box on the web page, and then clicked the 1P button in the browser toolbar and clicked "Save Login".

    Anyway, things are well again.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Thanks for updating the thread. Manually saving a login (1P > Save Login) can be very useful. I'm glad you got everything sorted. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Best regards,
