Drop-down boxes and more

I need help with the following problems:

1. I do alot of form filling, but the drop-down boxes (such as date of birth) never fill. Is there a way to do it. Is inconvenient since most forms include dob, state, etc.

2. Zip code field always fills with my user name.

3. When I used Roboform, it had a button to wipe forms clear of data. Does 1P have that option anywhere?

4. Is there a way to auto-fill without submitting?

Other than these problems, I love it.

Welcome to the forums, DePro! We're glad you are here. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Please tell me which browser you are using. We have made some great advances in our filling code in Chrome but they have not yet been ported back to Safari and Firefox. Does the problem exist on all sites or only some sites? Do you have a URL I can test?

Does this happen on all sites? If so, you might want to double-check the data you have saved in your Identity in 1Password. It may be entered incorrectly. If it only happens on some sites, could you provide a URL where you see this behavior?

At this time, 1Password only fills information it does not remove it. It will overwrite form data if you have entered data incorrectly and wish to make a quick correction. For example, if you fill your "Home" Identity with your home address, you can then fill your "Work" Identity to change the data in the form.
4. Is there a way to auto-fill without submitting?
Absolutely. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

The 1Password feature that submits a web form is called Autosubmit. You can configure this feature for all sites or just for specific sites, and you can temporarily disable it "on the fly":

To disable Autosubmit globally: In your web browser, click the 1P toolbar button, and uncheck the Autosubmit Logins option; or, in 1Password, choose 1Password > Preferences, select the Logins tab, and uncheck the "Submit automatically after filling a Login (Autosubmit)" option.

To disable Autosubmit for a particular web site: In 1Password, select the site's Login item. Press Command+E to edit it, and change its Submit option to Never.

To disable Autosubmit temporarily: In your web browser, hold down the Option key, and click the 1P toolbar button. The word "Fill" (rather than "Fill & Submit") next to the login indicates that 1Password will fill the form but not submit it.
I hope that helps. Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    1. I'm using Safari and the problem exists on all most sites (not all). Here are a couple examples:

    http://www.sheknows.com/contest-form/827617.htm

    http://apps.facebook.com/sweepstakeshq/contests/109630/entries/new?ogn=facebook

    2. Yes, I have checked my identity data which is correct. I am unable to duplicate it at this time, so I am thinking it must be one site that I use alot.

    3. I understand about the auto-submit feature. I have disabled that. What I mean is that I am unable to auto-fill multiple pages that I open at once without clicking on the fill button manually to fill each one individually.

Thanks for those links. I have passed them along to the developers!

If you come across the site(s) where your username is confused with your ZIP code, please let me know. We would love to take a look at that as well. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

At this time, 1Password does not support autofill as such, but please consider using Go & Fill or 1Click Bookmarks for similar results. For example, you could create a bookmark folder in Safari which contains 1Click bookmarks for all the sites you want to open. Then, use the "Open in Tabs" feature in Safari to Go & Fill all the sites and once.

I hope that helps. Thanks again for your feedback!
