Firefox any 3 or 4 can't get 1Password going
<div class="IPBDescription">Firefox not working for me neither is Safari</div>1Password just stopped working for me last night. Was using FF3 but upgraded to FF4 with no success. Never used 1Password in Safari but can't get that to work either. I've been through all steps from the other forum. I uninstalled all Firefox and re-installed FF3. Still no luck. The big change is now I can't get the 1Password add-on to show in the FF add-on list. Prior to the re-install 1Password did show in the FF add-on list. It just didn't work. The best I've been able to go is to get the 1Password toolbar items to show up in FF4 but they didn't do anything. Couldn't even launch 1Password.
I am at a loss. Recently installed the 10.6.7 update.

Welcome to the forums, Mike. I am sorry that you are having this problem.
Since I'm not sure exactly what steps you have already tried, please humor me and start from the beginning. Even if you have tried some of these steps before, please try them again in this order. Their chronology can often make a big difference. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
It sounds like your 1Password installation may be damaged, which would be affecting browser integration. To resolve this:
1. Download 1Password from our web site:
http://agilewebsolutions.com/downloads
Click on the "Download Now" button under "1Password 3"
2. Quit your web browser and 1Password, if it's running
4. Drag the new copy of 1Password.app you just downloaded into your Applications folder, overwriting the existing 1Password.app
Your information is stored in a data file separate from the application, so it will not be harmed by this procedure.
It sounds like Firefox is caching some data from a previous version. You can fix this by completely uninstalling the Firefox extension and reinstalling it:
1. Make sure Firefox is not running.
2. Launch 1Password from your /Applications folder
3. Click 1Password > Preferences > Browsers
4. Uncheck the box next to all versions of Firefox
5. Launch Firefox and click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Make sure that 1Password is *not* listed.
6. Step #5 is the most important step so I'll repeat it again here <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Launch Firefox and make sure 1Password is not there.
7. If 1Password is appearing in the Extensions window, click the Uninstall button on the 1Password extension and quit Firefox.
8. Return to your 1Password window and check the box next to Firefox. There are two versions: 3 and 4. Pick the one that you have installed.
9. Restart Firefox and click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Make sure that 1Password is listed.
After following these steps, the Firefox extension will have forgotten everything about previous versions and should work correctly.
Please let me know how it turns out.
