Can/will Androide support more than one Keychain

newbietoo
edited April 2011 in Android
Hi,

A few questions

1) Unless I'm missing something it appears Android can only support one Keychain, is that correct? If not, what am I missing, and if yes is there any intention in the future to support more than one?

The reason for the requirement is that I have both personal and corporate (shared with colleagues) keychains, which does work OK via PC's.

2) I notice too that regardless of what I name a keychain file, on Android the name gets changed to the default '1Password...', however it seems to sync OK with the differently named keychain on the PC. Not sure how it manages to that.

3) Should sync happen automatically, or should I initiate it manually, which is what I'm doing at the moment?

Thanks

Patrick

    Hello newbietoo,

First of all, welcome to the 1Passwor for Android forum !

Next version of 1Password for Android (will be released in a few weeks) will be supporting keychain with name other than a default one (1Password.agilekeychain).

Whatever name you assign to the 1Password keychain will be used.

For now I suggest to stay with a default name for the keychain which is created by the 1Password application on your computer.

This current version of 1Password requires Drobox sync to be done manually by using Menu->Sync option.

Stand alone version of the application (already in development) will be using automatic sync similar to what 1Password for iOS currently doing.

Please let me know if you need more information.

    Best regards,

    Gene
