Can't find data file

I reinstalled Snow Leopard and did a migration from Time Machine. When I tried to run 1Password it asked for an existing data file or a new data file. I searched the forums and nothing has worked. I don't have a 1Password folder or a 1Password.agilekeychain file. I really need this data, can anyone tell me where it would be stored?

thanks,

Paul

    Hi Paul

    Sorry your having trouble.

    Default is ~/Library/Application Support/1Password/

    ~ = user folder

That is unless you moved it due to Dropbox syncing etc then it would be in Dropbox or for those very few and brave souls that had it on iDisk after the recommendation to move it, It could be there as well.

I searched for that folder in time machine and it doesn't exist. I've never used Dropbox. Everything I've done with 1Password has been the default behavior.

It was working perfectly fine before I reinstalled Snow Leopard. What are the the different possible file names? It's got to be in my Time Machine somewhere.
HI paulsc,
1) Open your Time Machine volume in Finder

    2) Go to Backups.backupdb folder

    3) Select your computer folder that had 1Password installed

    4) Select the "Latest" folder

    5) Go down this series of folders:
MacintoshHD > Users > your user name > Library > Application Support, do you see 1Password or 1Passwd folders here?

6) If you do, open 1Password and copy the "1Password.agilekeychain" file to the same location on your iMac

Home > Library > Application Support > 1Password

7) Restart 1Password, it should prompt to ask you for the master password from your old hard drive

This is a more manual way of locating the file as sometime spotlight is inaccurate about the files. The other thing you could do is use Time Machine on
MacintoshHD > Users > your user name > Library > Application Support
and go back several weeks to see if 1Password shows up or not.
