Orbicules New app Witness

Witness is the newest app from Orbicule, and let me say I purchased and I am a very happy customer it works as described. I set it ...if I leave my Mac in the hotel room and go out to dinner. Just in case and since it also remotely locks the Mac via the app. It is really handy if you have to run out of the office and forget to lock your screen.

I looked at this the other day and couldn't find a practical reason to use it. [url="http://www.orbicule.com/undercover/"]Undercover[/url] is a great application, but I couldn't see the real benefit of [url="http://www.orbicule.com/witness/"]Witness[/url] if you already use Undercover. What do you think?



EDIT: I should add that I only use a laptop. Witness looks like it would make more sense if I had a Mac that was more of a homebody. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' />

Comes in handy when you use something like NetworkLocation to change your lock settings etc based upon location.



For example I use it if I forget to lock my Mac when traveling. If I go out to dinner and forget I just lock it, just for piece if mind. I also use it to capture video of a possible intruder in my home (Admits like I need another camera I have 7 recording all the time)



True I could accomplish this as I already do via Dropbox, and a File app for iOS.



But I like the push notifications to the iPhone and the ability to view photos and videos on my phone of the event.



Not bad for all the Macs you Own for one price.
