Request: Password Font Size/Spacing

<div class="IPBDescription">Difficult to read current font (characters run together)</div>I'm running 1Password for Android on an HTC Eris. With Eris' small screen size, it's nearly impossible to read my login passwords (especially the letter "i") as they're tiny, and the letters run together. This becomes an issue when I'm accessing my passwords on my android to enter them on a computer that doesn't have 1Password installed.

    Hi terrak9,

Thank you for the feedback. Here in a office we don't have an Android micro device (we should definitely get one), therefore the information you've reported is very important to us.

I am working on the new user interface for the application (will be released in the next few weeks). All graphics is going to be changed in the new release, hope you will be able to see data better.

It would be great if you could send me some screenshots from your device to my support account (android-support@agile.ws)

(here is an info on how to make a screenshot from the device).

The screenshots would be of great help to me.

Thank you in advance and best regards,

  • I “second” the request for larger font preferences. Even on larger-screen phones, the data is difficult to read.

    Hello SS,

That is a valid point: right now I am using default Android text styles:

android:style/TextAppearance.Medium/Large/Small. However, I increase the fonts somewhat to make them 22/18/16/14dip and bold.

The text is rendered perfectly fine on my Nexus One and all testing phones we have in the office.

In addition, the application is rendered perfectly fine on all screen emulators I have.

So far nobody complained on font size but we have so many different phones/sizes/screen resolutions so it is hard for me to rule out

that text may look small on some screens.

If possible, could you please send me a screenshot from your phone to my support account android-support@agilebits.com, I'd like to

see how 1Password looks on your phone's screen before making changes. It will be a great help to me.

Thank you in advance and best regards,

  • Gene,

Thank you for your notes, here. I’ve been through the Settings on the EPIC 4G, and can find no user setting for text size. I’ll dive a little deeper into the Android applications for the phone, and see if I can find these settings. And, if you’ll let me know how to generate a screen-shot from the phone, I’ll gladly send you a shot of a 1Password entry as it appears on the EPIC.

I just wanted to let you know that since the last update, the text is much easier to read. The update completely solved the issue. Thanks so much! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

    Hello SS,

As you suggested, I increased fonts on all screens by 2, to me it looks better and easy to read.

I am waiting for what our QA team say about that.

Not sure if there is a system setting for the text size on the phone, most likely that the text size is a property of

an application and not a system-wide one.

Screenshots from your phone will be a great help to me though, I found a couple of really good links on how to

make screenshots from Android phone (I do screenshots every day, it is very easy). Please take a look.
