SubDomains and ports
<div class="IPBDescription">It replaces passwords</div>Hello
Im evaluating 1Password
I support a bunch of network devices, hence the need for a pass manager.
But i noticed, 1Password seems to ID the site by its domain.
or so i think.
When I enter say host1.domain.net it records the password
when i enter host2.domain.net it ask to update with the same info and tags i had setup before.
Sometimes i need to log to services with a port
example host1.domain.net:8080 then host1.domain.net:8085 with different credentials.
Is 1Password aware of this changes? or I'm I overwritting my bookmarks?
please advice
thanks

Hiya, AGidi! Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
You are correct. At this time, 1Password does not support subdomain matching in the Chrome extension. While you can create multiple Login items and give them appropriate titles to differentiate them, logins that share the same TLD will show up in the 1Password browser menu in Chrome, regardless of subdomain.
This is something we are looking to improve in a future version, but it isn't a sure thing, and we don't have a timeframe on when that might happen.
1Password does support what we call "precise URL matching" in Safari and Firefox. Which browser are you using? I believe you should be able to accomplish what you are attempting in Safari and Firefox if you follow the instructions in the precise URL matching thread.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help!
