1Password for iPad won't autofill BANK login

I've sync'd my 1passwords to my iPad, i can see everything worked.

I'm trying to use the entry for my bank, accesd.desjardins.com/ but it neither auto-fills the login in the iPad browser nor does clicking the globe on the top right work to autofill the login.

i can see both the LOGIN and PASSWORD options in the globe top right drop down menu but nothing seems to autofill.

if i look at the details of the entry, i've tried setting it as a USERNAME and as general ENTRY but neither work.

any ideas?

Same here... although it's Bank of America...

Unfortunately this is the #1 most important site for my parents, who just got their iPad yesterday. :(

and... since they use 1Password for their bank passwords, they are unable to use the Bank of America iPhone app because they can't possibly type the gigantic passwords.

    help!

    Welcome to the forums, safesolvent.

I tried going to the web site you referenced and initially wasn't able to because you didn't include the fact that it was https://, not http://. Full URLs are always just a little bit clearer. But I eventually did get to the web site. I don't have an account there, but in a test, 1Password was able to successfully save some dummy login credentials and then restore them correctly on command without any troubles.

Please try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and choose Save Login.

    3. Set the Action field to Create New Login (or to Replace <login-name>, to update an existing Login item).

    4. Click the Save button.

This is a multi-step login web site. Please see our help documentation on how to use 1Password to store and complete these kinds of web logins:

Bank of America "needs help" on the iPad. Please see my resulting iPad item for them:

    http://cdn.agile.ws/marty/Untitled-20100602-140356.jpg

They also offer a "mobile" version of their site. Here are two screenshots:

    http://cdn.agile.ws/marty/Untitled-20100602-140436.jpg

    http://cdn.agile.ws/marty/Untitled-20100602-140506.jpg

The reason there are two is that the URL is longer than can be displayed at any one time. Here it is in its entirety:

    https://sitekey.bankofamerica.com/sas/signonScreen.do?isMobileDevice=true

The real key seems to be that the iPad is sensitive to Logins items that have a "non-field" value present. My mobile BofA login had such a value so I gave it a fake field name of "ssss" and 1Password was then perfectly okay at filling in the desired ID value.

The URL that I use (have always used) uses the following format:

https://sitekey.bankofamerica.com/sas/signonScreen.do?state=XX where XX is the 2 char state abbreviation.

I am not using a "mobile" login and a "desktop" login... the iPad does not redirect the URL to a mobile site. (at least not the URL that I use). Perhaps I am not understanding your post? I would love to solve this ASAP so anything you can share would be very appreciated.

Eric, the URL with the two-letter state abbreviation is what I use, too, but I haven't been able to get that to work on the iPad, only on my Mac. Have you tried Marty's solution (the first .jpg, not the other two mobile site-specific ones)?

The first jpg doesn't make sense... the BoA login only has the online iD (no password) on the first page? So I'm not sure what he is saving for username and password...

Marty have you been able to use a single login in 1P to sign into the 2-stage process for BoA from the iPad? #confused

With the URL that you and Gita are using, on the Mac there are two fields presented... so that's what I saved. On what BofA sends back to the mobile iPad browser there is only one field. I changed my Logins item to match your URL (I probably used a different state code but I hope that doesn't make a difference) and changed to a field name of "onlineID" (no quotes) and the data is filled perfectly on the iPad. I don't have a BofA account so I cannot tell if my single Logins item with its password field might be able to be used to then fill in the password or not, but I suspect it can (you may have to click on the globe and select it when you get to the 2nd page).

BTW, the changed Logins item fills properly on the Mac as well. The original field value of "id" came from saving the Logins item on the original URL.

Marty, okay... I'm hopeful about this issue since clearly you have been able to get it to work... but I am not able to reproduce your success. Can you spell it out for me one more time, step by step, including the exact URL that you are using and (if you don't mind) include a screen shot of the saved fields?

You are using the 1Password browser right? No matter what I do, nothing happens when I type on a saved login within the 1P browser.

Thanks so much for your help.

I was able to get this to work for Bank of America on both the iPhone and iPad with a little playing around and duplications but here goes. These are the field name as I have them working:

id = Login ID + Username Checked

passcode = Password + Password Checked

    password = Password

    onlineID = Login ID

    Hope this helps

Using 1Password I can log into B of A on my PowerBook and my iPhone. No go with iPad. Have tried to follow suggestions in this thread. My initial URL to log in is

    https://sitekey.bankofamerica.com/sas/signonScreen.do?state=OR

Cannot get onlineId to fill. Nor will it fill on the next page with the site key.

    Appreciate any help.

angrymeili, welcome to the Forums, and thanks for your contribution! I have a BoA account, and used the same info as Marty and got it to work. However, I prefer the BoA iPhone app. It works great, it's free, and it's super easy to use. It shows your site key, just like it does on the Mac. Just wanted to throw that out there in case you guys didn't know about it.

Here's a new screenshot of my working BofA test Logins item: http://cdn.agile.ws/marty/Untitled-20100616-144553.jpg, and IMG_0025.PNG, and here's a shot of the data filling in without any further assistance from me: http://cdn.agile.ws/marty/Untitled-20100616-144832.jpg. Like many large (complicated) web sites there are more than one login portal available so yours may be different.
