Missing “All” in new update

It was very convenient in the last mobile version, as it still is in the desktop version, to be able to search “All” when looking for data. Please reevaluate the choice to remove it from the mobile version. Indeed, I would like to see a preference setting making one of the “More” screens (preferably “All”) as the default screen.

Thanks,

-SS-

    Hello shs,

First of all, thank you for your feedback.

I am still not completely sure that having one extra tab is very convenient for users.

I was very happy when I redesigned 1Password for Android to have tabs instead of the list view with item types (showing ALL), so I

am kind of hesitant to add this option back. I do see the option to list all items on 1Password for Mac but not on 1Password for iOS (need to look closer).

Also I am not sure though that making ALL a default tab is the best option for majority of users. There may be a configurable preference , something "Show all folder"

-not a default one-, this approach I like better. What is your opinion about it ?

Well, before making changes, let me get more feedback from 1Password Reader users and see how they prefer to see their data.

    Best regards,

    Gene

  • Gene,

Thanks for your note. I agree that “all” may not be the best option for many/most users, which is why I though to make it a preference selection rather than a universal default.

As to the reason for the request, I came to 1Password from a different program (Passwords Plus), along with 300+ password and secure note items. The 1Password import routine made all of those entries Secure Notes, the category in which most of them remain today. I have put new entries in their “proper” category, but this often results in multiple entries for a single heading (Adobe: Serial numbers, site passwords, tech support addresses and phone numbers...).

Right now, the only way to avoid this is to make everything a Secure Note with all the data in one record. An “all” screen would at least put all of the Adobe entries together when the entries are alphabetized.

    Thanks for your consideration.

    Hello SS,

    Thank you for clarification.

Following your recommendations, I added an option "All Items" to the More Item Types screen.

The change will be available in the new application release due in a few weeks.

Please stay tuned for the updates.

    Best regards,

  • Thank you, Gene. This is wonderful, and will make my 1Password use on the Android phone much, much easier. If I could push you to make that screen a user-set preference default, I would be so appreciative -- but I’ll give that a rest for a while.

    Again, Gene, thank you.

    You are very welcome SS,

By the way, I just forwarded the new release of 1Password reader to Agile QA team, if everything goes well, I will submit the new release to the Market and

make it available for our customers.

There are some very important new features in the upcoming release, the most critical is a support for the new 1Password keychain format which will be coming soon.

Please stay tuned for the updates and forward your suggestions and recommendations to us. Your feedback is very important!

    Best regards,
