NSInvalidArgumentException

When I try to log in to any site I get the error dialog NSInvalidArgumentException. What is wrong and how to fix it. This is 1Password 3.5.9. It started when I downgraded from Lyin to SL.

It looks like your 1Password installation is damaged, which is likely affecting browser integration. To resolve this:

    1. Download 1Password from our web site:

    http://agilebits.com/downloads

Click on the "Download Now" button under "1Password 3"

    2. Quit your web browser and 1Password, if it's running

    3. Drag the newly downloaded version of 1Password to the same location as any previous one -- replacing it

    4. Run 1Password at least once and then your web browser

Your information is stored in a data file separate from the application, so it will not be harmed by this procedure.

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks!

    That didn't fix it.

In addition, I am having a severe problem with the forms on this website. I am forced to type my text into a text app then copy and paste it.

Does the error message occur in other browsers besides iCab? It looks like an iCab error message rather than a 1Password error message (based on the icon shown on the dialog box in your screen shot). The times I have seen this error in 1Password it is always clearly a 1Password dialog box. That's not to say it is unrelated to 1Password, but I won't know more until I see your Diagnostics Report.

When you say you "downgraded" from Mac OS X Lion to Snow Leopard, what exactly was your process? I'm not sure that a "downgrade" as such is supported. You may need to perform a clean install of Snow Leopard rather than any kind of "upgrade" or "archive and install." Apple is pretty explicit in the Mac Dev Center: "Install this pre-release version of Mac OS X on a dedicated partition or on a system used solely for creating and testing apps for Mac OS X Lion."

Of course, it may turn out that the OS has nothing to do with your issue. I only mention it for completeness. For all I know you performed a clean install of Snow Leopard. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

To help us track down the issue, could you please email us your Diagnostics Report? To generate the report from 1Password on your Mac, open 1Password and select Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report. Then attach the entire file to an email to support@agilebits.com.

Please include a link to this thread in order that we might more quickly "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

    Thanks!
