Correct. The unencrypted data is not written to disk, so not even the Dropbox application on your local machine can read the unencrypted data much less the Dropbox servers. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />

Sorry for the trouble here, dougiedd.
One of the first external links in this thread is to the Dropbox blog post where they not only described the issue publicly but also posted updates in the days that followed. It was also covered by nearly every major tech news site. I'm sorry that you missed it. The good news is that your sensitive 1Password data was and is not affected. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
I feel a bit like a broken record, so please accept my apology if you have already read this earlier in the thread. However, from the moment we designed the Agile Keychain data format we ensured that it was able to withstand an attack should your data fall into the wrong hands, either as a result of this Dropbox breach of if someone physically stole your computer. As such, we use 128-bit AES encryption to protect your sensitive 1Password data as well as many other mechanisms to stop an attacker from ever accessing your information and we detail this here:
http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/cloud_storage_security.html
So, as long as you use a secure master password that you don't use elsewhere, your 1Password data is incredibly safe even when stored on a service like Dropbox. If you're not sure about the strength of your master password, please do take a look at our own blog post on this:
http://blog.agilebits.com/2011/06/toward-better-master-passwords/
I hope that helps. Please let me know how you think we can improve in the future. We really appreciate the feedback!Flag 0 -

Well... Dropbox is not (STILL) ready for Lion... which sucks, cause I can't use 1Password on my Mac... sad... if the windows version had Wifi sync... : )

Hi Cloaky,
Dropbox works fine on Lion for me. What kind of a problem are you having with it? I'm using version 1.1.35 by the way.

Really??? Actually, I didn't try... I had a look on their forum and everyone was complaining about it... So I was waiting for the final 1.2.* version... I guess i will be giving the 1.1.35 version a tryFlag 0 -

I believe that the reported issues with Dropbox and Lion have to do with Finder integration. That's not a feature that I use much, so I can't really speak to that, but as far as syncing 1Password data is concerned, Dropbox continues to work great on Lion.
Cheers,
