two separate password pages

One of my banks requires two separate pages for passwords and security. How can these be united into one activation?

  • Hello Donald and welcome to the Forums!

One of my banks requires the same procedure, and I use two separate saved Logins to accomplish the task.

Please take a look at the following 1Password help guide for details: How to create multi-page Logins

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

    Cheers!

As long as the login items don't contain any of the same form field names, you may be able to get away with combining the two. I actually used to have two Login items ("Login - Username" and "Login - Password") but decided to try to merge them into one. I have been quite pleased with the results.

Note that this is an advanced technique. If you are not comfortable editing your login items manually, please just use the link that Brandt shared above two save two different login items. Merging them may or may not work for you.

So, first, save a login in your browser for each page of the login process. I usually append "Username" and "Password" to each of the item titles but as long as you can differentiate them, it doesn't much matter what you call them. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Take a look at the "password" login item and reproduce its field names under "All Fields" in the same section of the "username" login (appending them).

Here is an example. The two Login items before merging:

This example is extremely simplified, but I copied the fields from the "password" item into to "username" item. In this case it was only the field called "password" but it may be called something else in your login and/or there may be additional fields you need to copy:

You will need to edit the login items manually. There is not currently any automated way to do the "merging" (which it probably for the best since it may not work very well for some sites).

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. I have had great success doing this with my Bank of America login, but it should work for other sites as well. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Now I just have one Login item that I invoke once on the home page, and then again on the password page. The URL is that of the home page so Go & Fill still works, and the form fields are just a combination of the two items which 1Password saved for me in the browser.
