Can't install new 'reader' version on Archos 70H

I have the Archos 70H tablet. It's unique in that it has a 1.8" hard disc instead of flash memory. This get mounted a if it were a D card. I had no trouble with prior releases and installing but this version just keeps showing an error of cannot install to USB or SD card.

Please help since I cannot log in places without it.

    Hello Brian,

I am sorry to hear about your issue with installation.

I assure you that installation is governed by Android OS and Market application and has nothing to do with 1Password Reader itself.

I myself still don't have a tablet and cannot test the application on it (too bad ;-<), will be buying Samsung Galaxy when it becomes available here (on July 23).

I assure you that there were absolutely no changes with the way how 1Password is installed for the next 5-7 releases or so.

The application is looking for SD card as a preferred way for installation, if the card is not found, it is installed into the device's internal memory.

The installation on SD card is supported by all Android OS >= 2.2.

I know that there are > 550 users of 1Password Reader on tablets (mostly on Samsung Galaxy), I haven't heard any issues from them regarding product installation.

I am positive that you will be able to find a solution too.

The best way for you would be to read your tablet manual, do thorough research on the internet and probably contact manufacturer customer support.

Please let me know if I can assist you further, will be glad to do so.

    Best regards,

    Gene

  • Thanks for the quick reply. Just knowing you haven't changed the requirements or way its supposed to install means I can ignore anything related to that as the issue. Sounds like I'll need to find a more general 'cannot install' resolution. Off to the WWW and a search engine.

    Again thanks

Couldn't find anything on the web [to be more accurate found a number of solutions none of which worked for me], so just for the sake of sillyness I put my tablet into USB mode, as if I had attached it to a PC, and then tried to install and it worked. Note that I didn't actually attach it to a computer just put it into the USB mode.

I still have no idea why the previous installs of the prior versions worked every time and this one failed every time but hopefully I'm all set now. Its nice to be able to get back into sites where I'd used the make a strong password feature of 1P. Those things are such awful gibberish that without 1P I'd never have remembered those passwords.

    Hello bsoplinger,

It is a great relief for me to know that your issue with installation has been solved !

At least we have a workaround for this problem if other users experience it too.

Thank you for letting us know !

    Best regards,
