It's not just you. I've seen this for a while now using Firefox.
The problem is because the program (Chrome, Firefox, etc) wants to load the English localizable strings to show dialogs/menus/etc properly but it is failing because they don't exist in the 1Password program bundle. Other languages as part of 1Password have the them but since the app itself is already written with English strings built into the menus/graphics/etc, they didn't bother creating English string files. It usually isn't needed which is why it was overlooked. It really isn't something you need to be concerned about but Agile programmers should fix it just so we stop getting the errors in the console log.
Here is my log showing the same issue with Firefox.

nope. that is just safari's own database file. it isn't related to 1PFlag 0 -
We are in a transitional time between the new Safari 5.1 extension (used in Lion) and the old extension which uses Scripting Additions (which Apple removed in Lion). Please pardon our dust. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
If you are experiencing a problem with 1Password (besides an errant log entry or 10 <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />) please let us know. We would love to quickly resolve it. In the mean time, we'll try to "clean up after ourselves" as mother always told us.

the main problem for me is with chrome autosave. i use chrome and console is spammed.
i hope you start working on the "main bundle english strings" problem after you get lion under control.
to repeat the core issue is:
6/23/11 3:04:10 PM Google Chrome Helper[506] Failed to load '/Volumes/Attacabrighe/Applications/1Password.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/AutoSave.strings'
6/23/11 3:03:02 PM Google Chrome Helper[506] Failed to load '/Volumes/Attacabrighe/Applications/1Password.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Localizable.strings'
quoting smudge:
"The problem is because the program (Chrome, Firefox, etc) wants to load the English localizable strings to show dialogs/menus/etc properly but it is failing because they don't exist in the 1Password program bundle. Other languages as part of 1Password have the them but since the app itself is already written with English strings built into the menus/graphics/etc, they didn't bother creating English string files. Right. This is a known issue which only affects the log entries and should be resolved in a future update. It should not affect the behavior of 1Password in any way. Is it affecting the behavior of 1Password for you?
Are you saying autosave is not working for you in 1Password's Chrome extension? If not, please start a thread in the Chrome forum and let me know what version of Mac OS X and Chrome you are using.
Thanks for you help!Flag 0 -
Sorry for the delay, but this should have been resolved in 1Password 3.6.1. From the release notes:
"Resolved problem where "en.lproj" resources were missing in the build."
Please let me know if you are still seeing the log entries. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

yessir. apparently, fixed. as previously stated, the errors did not affect function of program despite producing many console messages.
just downloaded 3.6.1. new message apparently resolve "english strings main bundle" issue.

1password/agile people are awesome and i appreciate the response to my issue.
only console message error i have left is a "bootstrap_look-up2" error. have no idea what that is but doesn't seem related to 1password.

I'm getting a lot of entries in the console log. Using 3.6.1 beta 2.
The first entries go on constantly, for hours, every few seconds! This is the background agent as I didn't have the 1Password app running until 12:44AM. Then it has a bunch of SQL error messages. Any idea about those?

It doesn't show a complaint about the en.lproj file but it is still missing other files like 3rdPartyCredits.rtf
EDIT: so I noticed in the 1Password Safari.log, it is still having problems loading some files.

As Dave mentions in that thread:
[indent]No need to worry, these are just informational messages and do not affect anything as they are expected "error" conditions.
We turned on an additional debugging flag in the recent betas to help diagnose some issues. We'll turn this off in a future update.

Poking around in the app's bundle, I see the 3rdPartyCredits.rtf file. Just to stop getting the message in the console log, I copied it from the app bundle into the application support folder as referenced above. That message hasn't returned.
and while we have the programmer's attention around this, would it be possible to ask them to stop logging [so much|anything] into the system console? IMHO, the console log should only be for system related issues, application failures, etc. 1P logs a bunch of informationals in there and probably shouldn't be doing it.

After all, you are already logging to the individual logs for the 1P app, agent, updater, and for each web browser in the ~/Library/Logs/1Password/ folder. Those are the proper places for the informationals. I don't see why it is necessary to clutter up the system console log as well.
Thank you for your consideration.
P.S., I tried upgrading last night (when I saw you mention the 3.6.1 release notes) and today just before posting this message and 1P said I had the latest version, "Thank you for staying up to date!", but as I mentioned, I was running Version 3.6.1.BETA-2 (build 31052) so there is a problem with the update detector in that version. Others might be stuck on that beta as well if 1P isn't detecting the new final release.Flag 0 -

I go back and forth on this quite frequently; somedays I want to log everything to Console and other days I want to remove everything. Many users don't think to look in the 1Password logs and it's often helpful to have a few 1Password logs intermingled with the rest of the system logs when debugging issues.
I think we're close to a happy medium at present but I'm definitely open to making the logs more usable to everyone.
