Support for Safari 5.1 in Snow Leopard added in 1Password 3.6.1
Recently I realized that 1PW is no longer asking me if I want to save a log-in sequence when I register at a new web site. No dialog comes up in Safari at all. In order to save the new log in I have to open 1PW and do it manually. Did something change? Or is something configured wrong? Thanks for any help.

Hey Sylvan,
I'm sorry that you are having this trouble. There are a number of common reasons for this trouble. Please take a look at the "Problems Saving Logins Automatically" section in 1Password's User Guide and let me know if you have any additional questions.
Are you able to use the 1P toolbar button in Safari to fill and submit logins? Perhaps the problem is that the browser extension simply is not installed.
Also, which versions of Mac OS X and Safari are you using?
Please let me know. Thanks!Flag 0 -
Thanks for providing the version numbers, Sylvan!
At this time, the Safari 5.1 developer preview is not currently supported in Snow Leopard. Apple's Safari 5.1 developer preview is only supported in their (also developer preview) OS, Lion. You can either install Lion to use Safari 5.1, revert to Safari 5.0.5, use a different browser or…wait. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
This is in the works. Thanks for asking about this, though. We are excited to release some things, but I can't announce anything just yet.Flag 0 -

Hi - this is my 1st post.
Have just installed Safari 5.1 & had to upgrade to 1Password 3.6.1 to use them together (am running Snow Leopard 10.6.<img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/emoticon-0103-cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='8)' />. Some comments:
1. Can't say I'm particularly a fan of the new UI (yet) - but it may grow on me.
2. I really liked the old contextual menus & hope you reinstate them in the future.
3. I totally dislike not being able to open 1Password (the actual app) from the 1P button in Safari - please reinstate that feature!
Anyway we'll see how it goes - still a terrific product (on my Macs & iPhones) though.
Cheers...Flag 0 -

The new Safari extension interface is loosely based on our Chrome extension, and I must admit I hated it at first. Change is definitely hard, and these sorts of things are pretty subjective, but I do hope you grow to like it more in time. It will only get better! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I am not sure that it is possible to launch executables from within a Safari extension, but we will definitely look into it.
Thanks again for the feedback, and keep an eye out for our (stealth) updates. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />Flag 0
