Second CTRL-\ crashes IE9

Found this by accident...

I press CTRL-\ to bring 1password up.

The "Unlock Password Data" dialog appears.

If I then press CTRL-\, a sequence of partially-drawn dialogs (the background, without button controls, etc.) is shown...looks like something is looping.

Eventually IE9 restarts.

I have tried to get a screenshot but haven't been successful...attached is a mockup.

This is with the latest 1p. Win7 64-bit, 32-bit IE9, all SPs and patches applied.

Cheers,

BOB

  • 1Pass IE extension really very slow and unstable when in IE9 and Windows 7 environment. I am also have a lot of troubles with it - slow performance, freezes, crashes & so on. I can't try 32 bit Windows 7, but it's true for Windows 7 x64.

Do you happen to have reproducible steps?

    I'm running Windows 7 x64 and IE9 myself.

Slow performance and freezes appeers always. I need 10-15 seconds to fill L/P in IE9. Because call and each next click in 1Pass IE9 extenstion takes about 3-5 seconds. Craches appers only sometimes - e.g. when I call extenstion by CTRL + \.

I cannot seem to reproduce this. On my end, the 1Password dialog appears instantly when I press Ctrl+\

Do you happen to be running any anti-virus "solution"?

I run on clean OS with limited account rights. Only I am use this PC. I am very careful with running something. And PC behind hardware firewall. But today especially for you I've installed ESET NOD32, updated it to current signatures and executables, and checked entire PC. It does not find any kind viruses/trojans (just malwares on non-system disk - actually old keygens and hack tools in archives, which I do not run more than 5 years). And all the same, because PC is clean.

I think that you need to enable some debug mode for IE extenstion. Just to find root of these problems.

I'm not worried about viruses. I'm worried about anti-virus "solutions". They are notorious for slowing 1Password down.

I said in original topic that I do not have any A/V software or any other kind of anti-malware/software firewalls. I hate them. Therefore I've immidiately uninstalled NOD32 after checking PC. But I never had A/V software till today on this PC. Therefore, A/V absolutely can't be a reason.
