Setting up Dropbox syncing

Hi. I've got the latest versions of all the concerned softwares, I couldn't get sync between ipad and 1password on my macbook pro over wifi so I decided to switch to dropbox. No go. Can't even get the 1 Password file into dropbox. I've followed several tutorials online, most of which are for 1P 2.9 anyway. Nothing seems to happen. Going on a long journey tomorrow, bout the iPad version of 1P and don't want to have to take my laptop or reenter everything manually.

Help Help Help.

Thanks

Happy 4rth to all

Welcome to the forums, flyingfrog! I'm sorry that you are having this trouble.

The Dropbox sync guide should contain all the information you need, but I can walk you through it step by step if necessary. I don't mind at all. Please do be patient. It may not be resolved before your long journey on such short notice (though I hope it will be).

First things first, make sure you are running the latest version of 1Password for Mac. Currently, that means 3.6.1 for most users (3.5.10 if you are running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard). You can check for updates within 1Password (Preferences > Updates).

Then, make sure you have Dropbox installed on your Mac. This is important. Syncing will not work if you don't have the Dropbox application installed on your Mac.

Then just click the "Move to Dropbox" button in 1Password (Preferences > General).

Afterwards, just enabled Dropbox syncing in your iOS apps on your iOS devices (1Password > Setting > Sync > Dropbox). This is illustrated in the guide to which I linked above.

I hope that helps. Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks!
