Safari 5.1 toolbar disappears in fullscreen mode

I'm having issues with the Lion OSX and Safari 5.1 in fully screen mode using the 1Password extension, basically on occasions and completely randomly the safari tool bar completely disappears after using 1 password to login! This is resolved by exiting and then re entering full screen mode. I use Lion GM on 5 machines and only the machines with 1Password have the issue.

Anyone else seeing this, where do I log a bug?

Thanks

Hello ads1 and welcome to the Forums!

I was unable to reproduce this behavior using Lion GM and Safari 5.1. However, you did mention that it was random, so perhaps I've just yet to experience it.

I'll keep attempting to replicate the issue. In the interim, what version of 1P and the 1P Safari extension are you running? It's better to know we are running the same setup.

I have noticed that the Safari shortcut to Hide Toolbar is similar to, but not the same as 1P's default Go & Fill shortcut (alt-cmd-\). This threw me off in the early days.

I'll check with the devs regarding any other mentions of your observed behavior. If you should find a way, please report back with reproducible steps.

    Cheers!

    Brandt

Update: In the past, some users mistakenly use "shift" instead of "alt" when attempting to use the Go & Fill keyboard shortcut.

Hide Toolbar should be ⌘| (which is Shift-Command-\ if you are keeping score), so it should not be affected by the Go & Fill keyboard shortcut. I also have not come across this issue, but will keep an eye out. I can't imagine how it would be possible, but perhaps it is a bug in Safari 5.1 or Lion...?

If it happens again, can you take a screen shot? I'm curious exactly wheat you mean by "the safari tool bar completely disappears".

    Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the responses, I will send a screen shot, when I say disappears the Safari tool bar shows on the desktop and the full screen app has a gap where the toolbar should be... so they appear in different locations.... I found the best way to reproduce this is to go to a site that needs a login in and instead of putting your 1 password loggin in the 1Password box put it in the 1password bar that comes down, then use 1password to login in and then click "X" to not save the password after you login (BTW why does it ask to save loggins for sites you already have in 1 Password).

    Hope that helps.

There are a couple known issues with regard to autosave asking to save the same login but the most common one is having Safari's AutoFill for user names and passwords enabled. You can disable it in Safari's preferences.

I would love to see a screenshot when you get a chance, and I am not sure I completely understood the steps you described to reproduce the issue. I am not very smart, so could you provide a numbered list of steps? <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Thanks!

Ok, so it happened again just now, I took a screen shot and it saves the desktop and not the full screen app screen!!!!!! So If you can tell me how in Lion to take a screen shot of the full screen app that would be good!

In all versions of Mac OS X (including Lion), you can take a fullscreen screen shot by pressing Command-Shift-3. This will take a picture of your screen and save it to your Desktop. You can attach it to a reply to this message.

I was having a similar problem and found that if I move the cursor to the very top of the screen and wait a moment the toolbar reappears much like having the disappearing dock reappear
