Corrupted keychain via Dropbox

I have 1Password installed on my Mac (OS X 10.6.<img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/emoticon-0103-cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='8)' /> with the data file stored in Dropbox. When I attempt to synchronize 1Password for Android with Dropbox, it downloads the data file properly and says the sync finished, but an error pops up saying "Cannot init application, corrupted keychain". I'm thus unable to get past the synchronization step. I've tried rebuilding the data file multiple times, but still get the same error.

How can I fix this?

    Hello Evan,

I am sorry to hear about your issue: there is probably some more information in addition to the message your are getting, could you please send it to me as well on android-support@agilegits.com ? The message is saying that some files in your keychain are probably missing or corrupted after the file transfer.

First of all, open a Dropbox folder on your phone's SD card and find contents.js and encryptionKeys.js files (they should be located under 1Password.agilekeychain/data/default) please make sure that the files are available and not corrupted (readable)).

Next, delete the Dropbox folder from your phone's SD card, clear application data and try to synchronize your phone with Dropbox again.Examine a newly imported keychain in Dropbox folder make sure that the required files are present.

Please let me know if you find this information helpful, I will be glad to assist you further if required.

    Best regards,

    Gene

  • After poking around the contents of the Dropbox directory on my phone's SD card, I got it to work. Thanks for steering me in the right direction!
