libeay32.dll detected as virus?
Hi Guys,
when I try to install 1Password for Windows 1.06.202 on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit my antivirus Microworld Escan 10 detect teh file libeay32.dll as a virus and deletes them! I attached a screenshot of the log file.
How can I fix this? Is this really a virus?
Thank you very much!!
Alex

libeay32.dll is a OpenSSL library, responsible for HTTPS communications. It is not infected with a virus. Your anti-virus "solution" is detecting a false positive.Flag 0

Good to hear, peciot! But don't take our word for it. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
Depending on what antivirus software you are using, updating to the latest virus definitions may help avoid warnings like this in the future.

Thank you Brenty!
I updated my antivirus to the latest version and to the latest definitions, but if I don't add the 1Password folder as an exception, 1Password dont't work properly. The program every time says that I have to insert my license. I do it and every time it asks me again.
Altought, if I set the folder as an exception it works fine.
I've sent an e-mail to the developer of my corporate antivirus explaining the problem; I hope in an answer.
Thank you!Flag 0 -
Hey Alex,
On behalf of Brent, you are very welcome!
Thank you for updating the thread. Let us know if you hear anything from your corporate antivirus.
Cheers!
