Hey there, gbyron!

As you can imagine, that error message is not supposed to be there! I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Since we support Firefox 5 (the Firefox 4 extension won't work in 5, though, which is why it is telling you that), please update your browser to take advantage of the latest security and bug fixes, and then follow these steps to get 1Password working with it again:

Quit Firefox.
Launch 1Password
Open 1Password's Menu and go to Preferences > Browsers
Click "Remove all extensions"
Launch Firefox, click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions, and verify that 1Password is NOT listed.
If 1Password IS appearing in the Extensions window, click the Uninstall button for the 1Password extension and quit Firefox.
Return to your 1Password window and click the checkbox to install the Firefox 4 extension.
Restart Firefox and click Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Make sure that 1Password is listed, and verify that it is working properly.
I hope this helps. Please let me know how it turns out. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Hi,

thanks for getting in touch so soon. I tried what you suggested but it didn't do much good. I upgraded Firefox and tried what you suggested but no joy. I sorted out the problem by throwing 1password into Appdelete and thus removing all the files. I then downloaded the latest version. I went to an external disk and made an export file to my hard disc. I then rebooted and once back to that disc I imported my data into the new 1password version and it now seems to be working ok with Firefox 501.

    Thanks,

    Gordon

Thanks for the update, Gordon. I am glad things are working well for you. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

We don't recommend using application "uninstallers" since we see many cases where they actually remove users' data files unexpectedly, but thankfully you had a backup of everything and restored from that. (I only mention this for other folks who may come across this thread in the future.)

If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.
