1Password Extension in IE8 causes web app to be super slow

I use a web based app from Comergent that allows me to configure products at the company I work for. I.e I can check a box to include a particular feature, add a qty if appropriate, check off sub features as appropriate etc and it enforces legal configurations. Anyway, with the 1Password Extension enabled, every time I do anything like check a box it takes 30-60 seconds until I can do the next thing. With out the extension enabled in is ~1-2 seconds. I'm using Windows XP SP2, IE8 & 1Password 1.0.6.202. Unfortunately there is no way for you to access the application inside our corporate domain but I may be able to provide you log info or something. Any ideas?

    Hey there, MeanMachine! Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I have seen this before, actually, if I understand you correctly. Since 1Password interacts with forms, a page with many fields like I expect you are describing can really slow things down. In the past customers have provided us with the page source, so you may be able to do so if it does not include proprietary or sensitive information.

Unfortunately, we have found that due to the way the IE addon API is set up there is not much we can do on our end to mitigate these types of performance issues, but we will be happy to look into it to see if there is something that we can do to improve it.

I can only assume that the fact that you are stuck on an old (unsupported) Windows XP Service Pack and limited to IE8 is a result of corporate IT policy and not your own doing. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Shoot us an email (support@agilebits.com) and we will see what we can do to help you with this. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
