Revert to old Safari extension?
<div class="IPBDescription">Trying to get back</div>Hello all.
I'm on Snow Leopard, but installed Safari 5.1 only to discover the new 1Password interface, which I do not like. I reinstalled Safari 5.0.5, but 1Password is still using the new interface. I suspect if I can find the location of the extension and reinstall the old one, all will be fine, but it doesn't seem to be that easy.
Although there is an explanation on the Agile site about how to uninstall the extensions, it is apparently out of date… or no longer works as described. I sent a request to Agile, but no response yet so I'm asking anyone who might know.
Thanks.

Answering my own question.
If you have the problem of having upgraded to Safari 5.1 and not liking the new 1Password extension behavior, it is apparently not always as simple as simply uninstalling it through 1Password. At least it didn't work for me. Neither did Agile's web instructions work on my Snow Leopard setup.
What did work was navigating to User>Library>Safari>Extensions and removing the newly installed Agile extension. This returned the behavior of 1Password to what it was before the Safari 5.1 upgrade.
This assumes you reinstall Safari 5.0.5 and 1Password 3.6.0 or earlier. It may also be necessary to install the 1Password Safari extension again, but of course from 3.6.0 or earlier.
Note: since Agile did not get back to me (I know they're very busy and are working hard to resolve problems), and since there were no replies here, perhaps others are not having the problem.

Thanks for following up on this thread, ImaMac! As you can tell, I was only just now able to reply. We have indeed been insanely busy with the release of Lion and all the changes that go along with that. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
Apple has removed Scripting Additions going forward, so it is impossible to continue integrating with Safari in the future as we have in the past. We are listening to all the feedback, though, so when you are ready to re-upgrade to Safari 5.1, 1Password will be ready for you. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
For other users who need to uninstall the new Safari extension for any reason, you can do so simply by removing the extension from Safari's preferences.

Open Safari

Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions

Select the 1Password extension

Click “Uninstall”

Close Safari

It looks like Scott replied to your email as well. Reading it, I think you were looking at the 1Password 2 User Guide rather than the 1Password 3 User Guide.
