Problems with logging in to AgileBits forums

I just went to login to this forum and what do you know the new 1P extension didn't even recognize the site. I had to manually copy and paste the PW from the 1PW app. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I just signed up on a different web site and it didn't give me the option to save the login. No problem I'll just copy the pw from the clipboard. But NO it didn't even copy the PW. I had to go back to the app, choose generated passwords, locate the recent pw, log out and log back in pasting that pw, then finally it gave me the option to save the login.

Now we have to triple click to log in to anything! I can't believe I went from "how did I ever live without 1PW" to wanting to just trash this useless and frustrating cr@p off my Mac! Unfortunately I now have all random have all pws. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!!!!!!!! How on earth did you think this is ANY improvement!!!!!!

It is not possible to "change it back". Because of the changes in Lion and Safari 5.1 we had to discard all extension code created in the past five years and start everything from scratch.

We are working through the issues reported by our users and fixing them one by one.

I cannot recreate the problems you reported with the latest version of Safari extension (3.6.5.BETA-27) and the latest version of 1Password beta (3.6.5.BETA-3).

Please make sure you are running the latest versions and see if you can recreate the problems you described.
  • Thank you for your reply <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> . Obviously I was very frustrated by the new extension when I wrote the op. I've been using Macs since 1987. I even was an Apple employee in 2001-02.

I don't have Lion yet but, if this is what I can expect from it then Apple has really messed up. I guess OS X has taken a back seat to the iPhone and iPad. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I just turned on the beta upgrade. Hopefully Agile will be able to make the browser extension simpler with less clicking like it use to be.

    Thanks again for listening.

  • Hey Michael,

On behalf of roustem, you are very welcome!

There have been a lot of frustrated users since Lion's release, and I suspect things will not calm down for a while.

We're doing the best we can to fix issues and push out the updates as quickly as possible.

Waiting for an accumulation of fixes to push isn't fair to all of the users like you (and me) who are struggling to adapt to the new playing field.

We are now up to version 3.6.5 stable, and our BETA-29 browser extension was just released a few hours ago.

I hope you've experienced more functionality since your last post. At the very least, I hope you've noticed improvements.

We'll keep working on the issues pumping out fixes as hard as we can. Thanks for your patience. I know it's not easy to wait.

    Cheers!
