Weird behaviour with my NAS

I've just attempted to access my NAS device using Lion and Safari 5.1 to do some much needed admin. In the past all that was necessary was cmd \ and that took care of the log in.

Now, after pressing cmd \ 1Password informs me there are no logins for that site. The NAS URL is http://192.168.1.50:5000/webman/index.cgi, If I access all logins in the extension window, locate my Synology admin login and use it I get an error message "The requested URL /webman/index.cgi was not found on this server".

If I complete details on the login page then save in 1Password, it saves a second copy (and a third, fourth, etc) None of these work and editing them shows no dissimilarities between them.

From my (basic!) knowledge I assume the NAS login is processed by a cgi script and this is what's causing the problem. Up until the Safari 5.1/Lion combination, 1Password has always behaved impeccably.

This should be fixed in the latest update. Please make sure you are using 1Password 3.6.5 and Safari extension 3.6.5.BETA-29. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

To manually update the Safari extension, you will need to temporarily disable automatic updates, otherwise, if you sit tight it will eventually update automatically.

We are releasing multiple updates per day now, so it can be fun for all of us trying to keep up.

Please let me know how it goes for you with the latest update.

    Cheers!

    Khad, thanks for the reply.

Almost back to normal. At least the ID and password are being pasted to their respective fields on the login page but thus far I can't get auto submit back. I've double-checked my Preferences and "Submit automatically after filling a login (Autosubmit)" is checked. On the Login itself, "Submit if Autosubmit is ON" is selected, which is my default for all logins.

The same happens with my ISP user forum site: http://forum.zensupport.co.uk/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fDefault.aspx

I posted about this earlier yesterday.

Good news is that some other site logins now work again so you are definitely about there.

I appreciate the hard work that you guys have put in over the past few days - you must have been working some horrendously long hours. Please pass on my thanks to the rest of the team - from one very appreciative 1Password user (since 2006).
  • No problem! Thanks for the kind words. It is our pleasure! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I am glad that while you are still having some trouble we are making some progress for you. It is a very delicate balance. I encountered a site earlier that doesn't even accept a Return input to submit the form, and therefore requires a mouseclick. Hopefully yours isn't anything like that.

For the Zensupport forum, Submit=Never and then manually submitting seems to work. We will see if we can fix this in an update. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
