<div class="IPBDescription">How to login to websites?</div>I've added !PW for Droid to my Galaxy Tab, and I can't figure out an easy way to use it. I've used it on my Mac for years. How can I fill in user info easily? All I can figure out is that I have to leave the site I'm on, check 1PW, then return to the website to fill in the password. There has to be an easier way...doesn't there??

TIA for your help!

  • Hi Ilovemydog (great handle by the way),

Thanks for installing 1Password Reader on your Galaxy Tab. At the moment the application does have limited functionality and is read-only, so 1Password can't yet fill your details automatically in the standard Android browser or in other applications.

What you can do, is open 1Password Reader, locate a Login you want to fill and then hit the 'Autologin' button to fill your details within a built-in web browser. We're currently working on a user-guide for 1Password for Reader as well as a fully functional 1Password application for Android which we hope to optimise for tablet use as well as smartphone usage.

I hope that helps clear things up,

    Hello Ilovemydog,

First of all, thank you for the interest in 1Password Reader.

The application currently works as 1Password data reader,in the same time, the fully functional version of the application with two-ways sync and data editing is currently under

    development.

Autologin functionality is currently available in 1Password Reader and works perfectly fine. When you open a web page secure item, click on the autologin button located at the top,

you will see a required page opened in the Web View window with your password and username filled in. Click on Login button and you will be able to login, no need to type any data.

Please let me know if you need an additional information, I will be glad to assist you further.

BTW, I will be very glad to hear about your experience with Galaxy Tab and how 1Password Reader works on it, I am planning to acquire Galaxy Tab once it becomes available in my country (hopefully on Aug 18), so far I don't have any way to test the application on Android Tab, so your feedback

    will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance and best regards,

    Gene

Thank you, Gene. I hadn't thought of using autologin. Duh. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I'm so used to the way 1PW works on my Mac, I didn't think it through.

I will say the instructions for syncing my Mac and Galaxy pw's using Dropbox weren't as clear as they might have been. I finally gave up and figured out how to do it on my own. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I take my Galaxy to bed almost every night to finish emails or read articles. I don't use it for phone service; I just use my home wifi. I've wondered a few times whether I should have bought an iIPad, but I love the Droid OS. (I also have an HTC Droid Incredible, which I absolutely LOVE.) I"m sure you'll love yours, too, once you get it.
