What happened? Is it broken?

I love this program.

However,

All of a sudden, the behavior of 1Password has changed,

1) The Safari menu does not show up.

2) When I click on the 1P icon in the toolbar, I no longer get a menu (assuming I have recently entered my pwd into 1P) I ALWAYS get a pwd screen.

3) When I click on the 1P icon in the toolbar, I get a screen that looks more like an iPhone screen, NOT a Mac screen. Please, don't make my Mac work like an iPhone. Thank You.

4) There is now no way to access the password generator. The IP icon in the toolbar used to have access to it, but now even when I pull up the full 1P app, there is no way tp generate a password.

Please, please, fix these problems. I HOPE they are problems and not some ways which the program has "changed" These are not good changes. They make the program less functional.

Safari 5.1

OS 0.6.8

1P 3.6.5

Attached file - why does my dialog box look like its trying to be an iPhone!?

    Please make sure you are using at least 1Password 3.6.5 and Safari extension 3.6.5.BETA-29. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

To manually update the Safari extension, you will need to temporarily disable automatic updates, otherwise, if you sit tight it will eventually update automatically.

We are releasing multiple updates per day now, so it can be fun for all of us trying to keep up.

Late in development of Safari 5.1/Lion Apple removed the mechanism by which we previously integrated with Safari. We had to scrap five years of code and begin fresh. There are some things that are different, but we are working around the clock to improve both the interface and features.

To generate a password in the new extension, click on the Generator in the bottom right corner.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Cheers!
  • Well, I guess this is all part of the general iOS-ification of the Mac. IMHO, I see this as a step backward in terms of UI design and functionality.

At least put back the option to "Launch 1P" directly from that menu.

Thank you, every time I say that I am pounced on. Lion is a step backward.

Have you tried the latest version of the extension which sports a brand new interface? I think you might like it. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />
