1P 3.6.5 ans Safari ext v 29 - Autosubmit not working on many websites

Hello,



many bank site , now don't work with Submit "always" or "when autosubmit is on"



they don't work in the sense that we need to press "enter" it does not submit itself



This is new Safari 5.1 and 10.6.8



It is even worst on Lion , as it does not enter anything in the webpage field,



I think it realates to extension v 29, as it was working ok last evening with 3.6.5 and extension v 28 (I think)



Please help me this is getting worst

Note: Is there a way to revert to an older extension for Safari as it is possible to revert to an older more stable version of 1P

OK it is really realted to v. 29 of the Safari extension



I uninstall v 29 and with 1P version 3.6.5 it installed v 28



I unselected automatic updates for the extension and now it is back to (more) normal behaviour



We need a way to revert back to older extensions when a new one creates wrong behavior

Yes mainly bank sites: ex: https://global.americanexpress.com/ ; https://www.cdbn.ca/pcis/login.jsp?url=/.do : https://www.cibconline.cibc.com



No problems wwith extension v 28

problems only extension v 29



with 1P 3.6.5 and Lion and 10.6.8



I manage to have the extension NOT to update so it stays with v 28 in Safari 5.1



my other question can we have a site to reoad older extension when a new one creates problems we did not have

Thank you for the detailed information. We made a ton of changes in Autosubmit last night and inadvertently broke it for other websites. We will make sure this is fixed.

Now I have the latest version installed. I just tried to use the extension once and I got the message I needed to go to 1Password, unlock it and then click again on Install extension...After I did that the extension got updated to v29.

I wanted to give you some feedback on the latest beta. I know you have been getting a lot of heat the last couple of weeks, so this post is going to be more positive. Most of my sites now seem to work ok. I have an issue with www.targobank.de where autosubmit doesn't work, but so far everything else seems ok. I disabled Lastpass (which I had enabled the last couple of weeks since the 1Password extension wasn't usable for me) and I am at least for now back to 1Passwort. I hope the remaining issues get solved soon! If you get the extension to work as before, then I am sure I won't be thinking of any alternatives.

Would you please check to see whether you have set extensions to "Install Updates Automatically" in Safari > Preferences... on the Extensions tab?



To do so, please click on the "Updates" item in the bottom of the extension column. If auto install is not selected, please do so. Regardless, there should be an option to Install any updates that are available. Please refer to the screen shot at the bottom of the link I just sent you.



If this procedure does not work, please let me know. We'll get this issue resolved one way or another. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Yes, it was enabled and that caused the delay in installation.



On another note, I still get an autosave prompt when logging in to a couple of sites.

I'm glad we got the extension issue sorted! It took me a while to get used to the delay too.



Conversely, sometimes I've been running the new extension and didn't even know it!



So, it works both ways...for good and for evil! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />



Regarding being asked to autosave a couple of sites, have you looked to make sure that "User names and passwords" is Unchecked on the AutoFill tab in Safari > Preferences...?



If it's already unchecked, would you please try re-saving a login for one of the sites that gives you this trouble? I'm curious if the recent updates may have broken some of the old saved Logins.



Please let us know your results.

The update options aren't in Safari>Preferences>Extensions>1Password, they're in 1Password>Preferences.

I believe you are referring to the Update options for the 1Password application, correct?



I was directing the member to the location for updating the 1Password [b][i]Safari 5.1[/i][/b] extension.

some sites where it used to fill quickly and disappear (user ID and password) now it sticks

but most sites (same as above and others) don't submit

like if a carriage return was missing (and for some even the carriage return made manual is not enough, I need to click directly or enter my cursor at the end of the password and then carriage return)



Before extensions v29 all were ok, except site where info did not stick (which seems fix with v30)

Oh hell, I saw that but it didn't register even though I've clicked it before, I was looking for options in the main window. I was thinking Updates was just the name of that sidebar where the extensions are listed.

I just installed it and found a different problem:

The very first time I clicked the 1P toolbar button, the popup window appeared, needing my password. But each time I enter my password a red box opens that says [i]Data Not Available[/i].

Have you tried to launch and unlock the 1Password application?

Didn't help.





BTW, (new thread?) not sure what's causing it, but even with v29 sometimes when I close then reopen Safari, the 1P button has moved from the far left on the toolbar to the far right. I keep dragging it back and it keeps moving.

It seems to be working now - I can lock and unlock it. We'll see what happens after I reboot.
