Welcome to the forums, EndoArt1!
We released 1Password 3.6 a while ago, a free update that supports Safari 5.1 for Lion and Snow Leopard. It also supports Firefox 5 and Google Chrome 12 on both Snow Leopard and Lion. To update to 1Password 3.6, you can go to 1Password > Check for Updates to start the automatic upgrade process. For more information about our Lion support, please see this page:
http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/lion_support.html
That said, if you are still on Snow Leopard, I would love to get things working for you there.
When you say it won't function, could you be a bit more specific?
To reinstall it:
1. Download 1Password from our web site:
http://agilebits.com/downloads
Click on the "Download Now" button under "1Password 3"
2. Quit your web browser and 1Password, if it's running
3. Drag the newly downloaded version of 1Password to the same location as any previous one -- replacing it
4. Run 1Password at least once and then your web browser
Your information is stored in a data file separate from the application, so it will not be harmed by this procedure.
I hope that helps. Please let me know.

Thanks so much for your reply. To answer your question about "function", when I am in 1Password it will no longer load my user name and password at any of the sites as it has been doing beautifully for over a year once I upgraded to 10.6.8. I love the program as I do almost all my bill paying online via 1Password and now I am having to type in all the user names and passwords without any of 1Passwords help in then generating the long password. I will try what you are suggesting but now that you know the exact problem maybe there is a different solution.
I tried your suggestion but without success. 1Password will still not log in my previous log in and password information. Do you have any other suggestions?

Can you tell me what version of 1Password and web browser you are using? I would love to get this resolved for you.
Thanks!

Yes, I am using Safari 5.1 and yesterday I upgraded 1Password to 3.7.0 beta just to see if it would help but it didn't. Thank you for trying to help me,

Let's make sure you're all set up with the latest version of 1Password and our new extension, which supports Safari 5.1 on Lion and Snow Leopard. If you just upgraded to Lion or Safari 5.1 on Snow Leopard, please follow these steps:
- Update 1Password: Quit Safari, open 1Password, and go to 1Password > Check for Updates to make sure you're running the latest version
- If there is an update waiting for you, perform the update, and once 1Password restarts, enter your Master Password to unlock it.
- 1Password should then prompt you to install our updated extension that supports Safari 5.1. This will automatically start Safari to begin the installation.
If you're already running the latest version of 1Password but the 1P button in Safari is not working, let's try a clean re-install of the extension:
- In Safari, go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions, then click 1Password in the left sidebar there. Click the uninstall button, and quit Safari.
- Now in 1Password, go to 1Password > Preferences > Browsers, and click the "Install Safari Extension" button.
- This should automatically start Safari to begin the installation.
When the installation is done, you will have a new, redesigned extension that gives you more and faster access to more of you data right in the browser. We're still working on reimplementing all of the features from the previous extension. The new extension means that it is now an official Safari extension, will automatically update to new versions, and is compatible with new technologies and rules that Apple introduced in Lion and Safari 5.1. Check out this document for a quick intro to the new extension:
http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/safari_5.1_intro.html
And take a look at the top right section of our 1Password FAQs page for answers to common questions and troubleshooting guides:
http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/faqs.html
Please let me know how it turns out.

Hello Khad,
I followed your instructions exactly.I quit Safari, opened 1Password and there was another update 3.7.0.Beta-3 which I upgraded too. I went to Safari and the 1Password extension was working just fine and when you went to a new site it would ask you if you wanted to save it to one 1Password so I tried three different sites and saved the logon and passwords but then when I would try to log on to those sites on 1 Password it would not load my user name and password and connect me to the site. I am very frustrated as I use 1Password every day and now I can't.
Just as a question is there any way to uninstall 1Password from my computer and then reinstall it without having to pay another license fee. It is useless to me right now.
Thanks again for your help.

You can always install 1Password at any time using the same license key (which you can retrieve from our Customer Center if you ever lose it).
If you ever need to uninstall 1Password, you can find instructions for that in the User Guide.
That said, I think I know what the problem may have been and we reworking to resolve it.
There is an issue in Snow Leopard which prevents Go & Fill from working outside the browser, so if you were double-clicking an item in the main 1Password application for example the username and password would not have been filled in the browser. The site would be opened but nothing would be filled.
Until we get this resolved, please consider that you can use 1Password entirely from within the browser to fill Logins. Simply visit the Login page for the site whee you wish to log in and then press Command-\ on your keyboard or select the Login from the 1P toolbar button in Safari.
You can also Go & Fill a site from within the browser. Simply press Option-Command-\ and then select the site from the list or click the 1P toolbar button and then the "All Logins" tab.
I hope that helps. Please let me know.

Hello Khad,
I am happy to tell you that your suggestion of working through the browser works just fine and will give me a way to use 1 Password until you all are able to get the problem solved so that 1 Password will load the user name and password directly. Thank you so much for your help and do you have any idea when this this issue in Snow Leopard will be resolved?
Thanks again,

Khad,
I hope your suggestion solves the problems EndoArt1 is having. However the Command-\ shortcut is not working for me AT ALL! I've updated 1 Password to Version 3.7.0 (build 31083) and the Extension to 1Password (beta) 3.7.b2 and still it doesn't work.
Any suggestions?
Beth

Beth,
I just tried Khads suggestion and it works fine from the browser clicking on the 1 Password button. Just follow what he told me to do and leave out the Command shortcut and it should work for you as well.

Please check out this thread and others. You need to make sure that nothing else is using those shortcuts, and, failing that, you can change it to whatever you like in Preferences > Logins.
