Safari 5.1: Trouble with autolock
Hi,
In Safari Version 5.1 (7534.48.3). And 1Password Version 3.6.5 (build 31075)
The Auto logut is not working.
I have it set to for x mins. And have left the mac alone for much longer than set.
The App 1P does lock as expected. But the Safari Extension Panel does not lock.
Also am I right in understanding that the menu item on the apple menu bar is no longer
Thanks

Hey MHUNTE,
It sounds like you have been testing with this in mind, but be aware that inactivity is measured by keyboard and mouse. You will need to not touch the computer at all in order for auto-lock to kick in due to inactivity. I just want to make sure we are on the same page. That the main application is locking leads me to believe that you are testing with this in mind.
Are you running under an admin account or a normal user account (found in System Preferences)?

Because Apple removed some technologies in Safari 5.1, the option to add a 1Password button to Safari’s menubar is not possible at this time.
Please let me know about your account.

Hi Khad,
Yes I did have that in mind. And left the Mac completely alone. No mouse or keyboard activity. The Main App does ock when I do this, But the Safari extension panel does not.
Also I do not leave the Panel visible. So to check if its locked I click the 1P menu button in safari to bring up the Panel again.
And yes I am in an Admin account. It was an Standard at one point, But I needed to change it, about a week before lion.

Thank you for the update. One more question: does auto-lock work in other instances? For example, if you enable "Lock when sleeping" and put your Mac to sleep, is the extension locked when you wake it back up?
I think this may be a Snow Leopard issue, but we are still trying to nail it down completely.
Thanks for your help!Flag 0 -
have seen a few reports of this, but no resolution. i set the autolock to x minutes, the application will lock, but the safari extension won't. not after the subscribed amount of time, not after sleep, etc. so basically i don't have the security i used to have when stepping away from the computer, etc. please advise?Flag 0

In Sleep and screenSaver Lock, I have the same problem.Flag 0 -
the extension will lock if i quit safari completely. however, it won't lock if i just close the windows. for example, this AM i closed all windows, shut the computer (not powered off), put it in my bag, drove to work, then when i got to work, it was still unlocked. not good... it is set to autolock after two minutes...
FYI - am running:
Lion
Safari 5.1
1password Version 3.6.5 (build 31075)
13inch MB Air 2.13 ghzFlag 0 -
Could you please try the new Beta release (3.7.0.BETA-2) and see if it fixes this problem? You can do this by going to the 1Password > Preferences window, selecting the Update panel, enable the "Include Beta versions" checkbox, and then click Check Now. Once the update is installed, try again and see if it helps.Flag 0

I was experiencing the same problem and updating to 3.7.0.BETA-2 (build 31079) was the resolution.Flag 0 -

We just released 1Password 3.7.0 moments ago. Do you still have the problem after updating to 1Password 3.7.0 and using version 3.7.b2 of the Safari extension?
Please let me know. Thanks!
