Sync between 1Password Pro on iPhone & iPad?

civtexas
edited July 2011 in iOS
All of my passwords are on my iPhone using 1Password Pro for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad.

I have a backup on my MacBook but I don't have 1Password for Mac.

Suppose I lose my iPhone or it is stolen. Because the backup on the Mac isn't in a form I can access without an iPhone, right now I don't have any way to access my passwords if the iPhone is gone.

Is there a way to install 1Password on my iPad and sync my passwords to the iPad? I have spent some time hunting for the answer but I have been unsuccessful.

Thank you.

Absolutely! 1Password Pro is a Universal app that both the iPad and iPhone apps rolled into one, so you can install it on your iPad at no charge (using the same Apple ID). Additionally, they both use the same backup format, so you can restore a backup from your iPhone onto your iPad and vice versa. I am glad to hear that you are backing up! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

On the other hand, if you want to keep your data in sync automatically between the two, Dropbox is perfect for that. You will have to do the initial setup with 1Password on your Mac, but you can use our free trial and there is no need to continue using it once it is set up.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
