extension not extensive
Constantly wrestling the many issues with 1P and Lion, although sometimes, it settles down into a few blissful interactions where things work.
Just ran into a new one. I re-re**n-installed 1P (most recent) and removed extension, disabled extensions, restarted Safari.app, re-enabled extensions, re-installed extension, and hit CMD-\.
Popped me into a window claiming I needed to install / enable the extension. I did take the offer of a direct download of the extension, as I have been a bit concerned that I am always running the BETA extension despite all the frequent clean re-installs, and it re-re**(n+1)-installed the extension and I still have the beta extension (not the beta 1Password.app) and it still pops me into that page.
You are stuck in a twisty little passage crawling with endless 1Password bugs, all alike.
Help?

Another recent bug is that I can get it to pop-up the new pop-up, and it sometimes does find the data (sometimes it acts as if there is zero data) and I click on it and the pop-up goes away and the USER-ID field throbs bluishly at the border, as if in anticipation, but nothing more.
If I stand on my head and look sideways while sneezing, it sometimes works better, but not sufficiently to make it worth while, although the amusement of my co-workers is often sufficient.Flag 0 -
Eventually tiring of the gymnactications, I discovered that a different window in the same session was able to log in with CMD-\.
So I pop back to the errant one (yes, the 'you need to re-install the extension mode' has dissipated for now).
Still borked.
So I close that TAB, and open a fresh window to that site. Login is fine.
Seems to be a page-context issue which prevents the fill. Clean page, fill works.
I thought it might be a TAB issue, but TABed page to that site now works. So it must be a page/tab re-use issue?Flag 0 -
Hey amgems!
The Safari 5.1 extension is still in beta. There is no stable release of it yet.
Is there a specific site you are having trouble with? If you could provide the URL, I would love to take a look at it.
I'm not sure that I can help with the gymnastics, though. I am only a simple jogger. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0
