Feature Request: Default Login for a domain

I have several logins saved in my 1Password database for one service. Often it is e.g. my login and several other peoples' logins. Now if I use 1Password in 99.9% of all cases I use my login-data and not the other peoples'.

Is there a way to define my login-data as "default" and the others' data as optional so that I can use a shortcut (e.g. ALT+CMD+\) to login with my--and not their--data?

Thanks,

Michael

Right now there is not a way to set a default. One thing you can do, however, is set the Display value for the "other Logins" to "Never Display in Browser" if you only need infrequent access to the Logins.

This way, they won't clutter up the browser extension, but you can still double-click them from the main 1Password application if you ever need to use them.

I hope that helps. Please let me know.

  • Hi,

I am impressed by how used I got to 1Password. I was very skeptical, but now I know that it is good. You guys rock!

Still, there is one or the other thing that is a bit annoying. One - for me this is a great thing - is default logins.

I have saved a lot (!) of, say, Google-Logins in 1P. These include clients', family's, and my own. In 99% of all cases I use 1P to log into my account, however, I have to use the keyboard-shortcut and then several times push the "down"-button to get to MY login information. This does not work like with other sites, where I have only one account and login is fast if not immediately.

Now (for me) it would be great, if I could choose a "default" login if a site/service/etc. has more than one logins saved. Using the usual keyboard shortcut would then directly use this very login (and not present me a list), another shortcut would show me the list where I can choose which login to use...

If this is already possible, sorry for the post. (But I could not find any solution to this.)

    Thank you,

    Michael

BTW: Is there something like a wish list, where one can put messages like this?

    Hey Michael,

Thank you for the kind words. I merged your post with the thread you had previously created. I knew this sounded a bit familiar. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Please see my tip above and let me know if there is anything else I can help with. I have passed this along to the developers for consideration when you first posted about it.

    Cheers!

    P. S. The forums are a great place to post feature requests!
